Iyengar

In an Iyengar Yoga class, the teacher helps you focus on correct alignment in the postures to develop strength, stamina, flexibility and balance.

You spend more time exploring the details of each posture. Props are used to help every body achieve good alignment regardless of your age, flexibility or level of fitness – and to provide extra challenge.

By performing the postures with awareness, you improve your concentration and get a taste of ‘meditation in action’.
