THE ART AND SCIENCE OF MEDITATION

With JOYCE CURNAN

The purpose of this 5-class course is to help you understand and develop the practice of mindfulness, grounded in both practical techniques and the latest scientific research.

You'll explore how mindfulness works, why it’s effective, and how to integrate it into your daily life. Mindfulness is the quality of being open, unbiased, and fully present in the moment—a human capacity we all possess but can strengthen through practice. During these five weeks, we’ll train this capacity through a variety of mindfulness techniques, empowering you to discover which practices work best for you and when to apply them.

This course also highlights the fascinating (neuro)science behind mindfulness. You'll learn how mindfulness affects the brain and body, and why research consistently shows its remarkable benefits for both psychological and physical health. Like physical fitness, the key to mindfulness is practice.

So, join us to explore, train, and experience the art and science of meditation for yourself!
