This two day workshop with Lizzie Lasater is a long-term investment in your future self that will help you discover:

The role of strength in aging gracefully: You’ll discover why building strength is crucial not only for flexibility but for long-term resilience and protection. Understanding how a strong body supports your health as you age will transform how you approach movement and exercise.

Effective and safe techniques for building strength: Learn how to use your own bodyweight and resistance bands to build strength efficiently at home. You’ll practice simple yet powerful exercises that can easily be incorporated into your daily routine.

Mindful movement and body awareness: Experience a somatic approach that encourages you to slow down, connect with your breath, and feel each movement from within. This mindful practice will emphasize safety, ensuring that you build strength without pain.

Training functional movement patterns: Explore and refine five essential movement patterns—squat, lunge, hinge, push/pull, and rotate—necessary for functional strength in daily life.

Creating a sustainable practice: Discover how to train with consistency over intensity. You’ll learn efficient methods that maximize your results with minimal time investment, making your practice both enjoyable and sustainable for the long term.

Throughout this workshop, you will move, reflect, and build strength in a safe, supportive environment. Whether you’re looking to enhance your personal practice or deepen your teaching skills, this workshop will empower you to develop a strong and resilient body.

Great for students and teachers alike!

What to bring?

Please bring 2-3 blankets from home, a journal, and an eye cover.
You will also need these 2 types of resistance bands.
Long band
Hip bands
We can order them for you and you can buy from Yoga Moves or bring your own.
