Spiralling into alignment:
In this session we will begin with a dynamic asana practice incorporating essential influences from QiGong, fluid-form yoga and anatomical wisdom, sandwiched between a series of what Simon regards as the most effective, accessible and safe pranayama practices.
Balancing anatomically sound alignment principles with circular and spiral movement patterns, this session will emphasise joint care and wellness, energetic anatomy, and the roles of bandha and breath within practice.
After a break, Restorative Yin yoga and meditations will be shared within contemporary and ancient philosophical teachings to deepen our connection to our enteric nervous system, often called our ‘belly’ or ‘gut’ brain, the ever-present source of intuitive wisdom, truth and deep knowing that balances the often over-powering voice of the head brain’s thinking mind.
In this series of workshops you will be introduced to Simon’s teachings and practices toward the awakening of our bodies, our breath, and our three equally important human brains (in the head, the heart, and the belly), resulting in a deeper and clearer connection to our inner voice, intuition and soul essence, and a life fortified with love consciousness. These teachings and practices will significantly enrich your personal yoga journey, whatever is your current yoga practice, level of experience or stage of life.
Simon Low has been sharing his unique approach to yoga for over 30 years, renowned for his attention to anatomical detail, inspiring philosophy, creative movement patterns and warm approachable manner.
