Karissa Tartaglia

Karissa Tartaglia Yoga Moves

In the Spring of 2017, Karissa was introduced to yoga as an alternative way of healing. Discovering its transformative power, yoga guided her back to herself and taught her ways to manage the monkey-mind, to cultivate self-awareness and to reconnect to the radiant space of love. Having honed her practice for over 2 years, she became drawn to a life of service, to share this gift with others and to offer tools for connection, revitalization and grounding.

She completed her first yoga teacher training in Nepal – following a 5 year chapter in Cambodia – Karissa relocated to The Netherlands in 2020. It was there in the Spring of 2022, that she encountered Hot Hatha at Yoga Moves. Due to the focus-nurturing heat and the alignment-focused steady pace, this practice resonated deeply with her. Enrolling in and completing the Yoga Moves’ Vinyasa and Hot Hatha teacher trainings, Karissa realized her dream of teaching what she loves.

Believing in the body as a reflection of the mind, emotions and spirit, Karissa’s classes invite students to explore their inner landscapes, from moment to moment, from breath to breath. She sees yoga as a conduit for emotional processing, as a way to establish inner and outer connection, and a playful reminder to find joy in the process of learning and growth. Whether guiding an uplifting Hot Hatha practice, a flowing Vinyasa session, or a mindful Slow Flow, Karissa guides students to tune into their body’s innate intelligence, using their felt sense paired with their breath, to ground in the present moment.

Join her on a journey of self-discovery and embodiment, where each practice is an opportunity to notice, to breathe a little deeper and to flow into that space of love.
