Every step of The Work is meditation

The Work of Byron Katie is a way to identify and question the thoughts that cause all the suffering in the world. Katie saw that when she believed her thoughts she suffered, and that when she didn’t believe her thoughts she didn’t suffer.
Much of your suffering and stress comes from mentally living out of your own business. When I think ‘’You need to get a job, I want you to be happy, you should be on time”, I am in your business. When I’m worried about earthquakes, floods, or when I will die, I am in God’s business. Notice when you feel hurt or lonely in who’s business you are (mentally) in.
Katie could find three kinds of business in the universe: mine, yours and God’s (she calls anything that’s out of her control, your control and everyone else’s control – God’s business). Reality is God, because it rules. So if you are angry, hurt, sad, or disappointed in someone or something, ask yourself in whose business am I in? If you understand the three kinds of business enough to stay in your own business, it could free your life and can bring you back to your own wonderful self.
The Work of Byron Katie is meditation. The 4 questions and turn-arounds open and clears your mind. And anyone can do The Work. This method is simple and deep personal work. It allows you to access your own inner wisdom – that always exists within you and you are not dependent on anyone else’s wisdom.

After mindful movement and breathing, you move into stillness and become aware how your thoughts and your body interact with each other. Every step of The Work is meditation.
