As experienced yoga teacher Marjolein offers yoga that is easy accessible for every body. She creates a safe environment for you as a student in which you can learn and grow with awareness.

Over 3 decades ago she discovered yoga. Ever since she has followed classes and trainings with several teachers, mainly Iyengar. The focus in Iyengar style on correct alignment in the postures is also present in the classes Marjolein teaches. With much pleasure she followed the Vinyasa Teacher Training at Yoga Moves in 2017.

Already for long triggered by the deep calming effect of Yoga Nidra she came to study iRest Yoga Nidra with James Reeves and became a certified iRest teacher and mentor in 2020. “After all those years of practicing and studying yoga I learned in this process what it really means to listen to the body. On a deeper level.” She feels that is so valuable that she is happy to share this with her students.

In March 2022 she did the yin teacher training at Arhanta. “I experience yin yoga as a valuable complementary practice to more active (yang) forms of yoga and physical exercise.”
Marjolein loves to keep learning and follows several yoga classes, - courses, -retreats and -trainings focusing on asanas, philosophy, meditation and ayurveda. She also likes to study books about these subjects- the Bhagavad Gita being her favourite book. "However, the most I learn comes from my students and from life itself.” In our daily lives we tend to loose connection with our home ground of Being. Yoga can help to come home to ourselves again. And if we are connected to who we truly are, we are also more capable to connect with our environment.
As manager in a large and complex organization and as a mother of two young adults, she knows what modern western life can ask of you. And how yoga and especially yoga nidra can help you to bring more joy and relaxation in life; on and off the mat.
