How to maintain your yoga practice during the holidays?

It can be a challenge to stick to your yoga routine when you have time off or going abroad. We love to help you with some tips to make the most out of it, no matter where you are or how much time you have.

You might think you don’t need your practice when you have a vacation. However during these days when you don’t have the distraction of work you need it more than ever. As we all know, your vacation can also become very busy and a bit stressful. Before you know it it’s fully planned with activities, family, culture and all other extra fun things you want to do now.

This can make it challenging to maintain your energy and the ability to focus on your yoga practice. We highly recommend continuing your yoga practice during the holidays, to relax and enjoy it even more. Yoga helps you to feel more connected with everything around you.

Here are four tips for you on how to keep your yoga flow going to relax and renew during vacation.

1. You can also practice without your mat
Did you forget to bring your mat on vacation? Or you don’t have enough room for one? Just use your towel as a mat which works perfectly fine.

2. Make a date with yourself
Plan your practice as if you are making an appointment with your best friend, loved one or as if you are going to your yoga studio. Try to find a routine. It is helpful to keep it realistic for yourself about how much time to have for your practice. And even if you have only a few minutes take some conscious breaths.

3. Find a quiet and beautiful location
When is a better time to look for the most beautiful yoga spot you can find? On vacation, you will find the best spot for a moment to yourself. You will start your practice immediately with more ease. You don’t have to be on a beach with palm trees, be surprised by the beautiful nature in the Netherlands. Don’t forget to take a picture once you are there to inspire others and keep it as a memory.

4. Get inspired by many excellent teachers
