100-hour YOGA traIning With Lilliana
Explore how to bring somatic awareness to your body, practice and teaching in this personal and professional development course. Go deeper into yoga.
This training program is designed to help you connect with yourself and the immense beauty of Yoga, its original ancient essence, and the traditional teachings taught with respect and love from a somatic perspective.
Developing a somatic approach to yoga will help you bring a deep awareness of your body. You will be invited to be present to sensations to be sensitive in how you approach movement moment to moment. A path based on mindfulness through physical enquiry, a training designed to initiate a path of transformation towards a state of deep serenity in your life and in your yoga teaching.
Yoga offers us the possibility of a profound unfolding of the Self. A development that encompasses different aspects of our health: the physical, psychic and energetic. A way to discover how we relate to the world, nature and the people around us. An experience that allows us to relate with the past, the present and the future in a new way. The discovery of our potential, a path of consciousness.
The word “somatic” comes from the Greek word “sôma” which, for the Greek philosopher-poet Hesíodo, meant a “body experience”.
In somatic yoga we start a continuous learning process of being attentive to, and aware of, bodily sensations/experiences and of taking sensitive actions. Central to somatic yoga is the individual journey of each person, accepting strengths and limitations and growing towards inner harmony.
“We spend our days in the familiar world of our five senses, but what lies beyond that, if anything, we have no idea. There is a vast world, perhaps, waiting to be explored. We are meant to explore, to seek, to push the limits of our potential as human beings. The world of the senses is only a base camp: we are meant to be as much at home in consciousness as in the world of physical reality. “

Pedagogical approach: teaching by continuous learning
Liliana presents simple techniques that are accessible to everyone.
Somatic approach to Yoga requires continuous learning. Every instruction you give to your students will be rooted in a deep exploration of your body and therefore your sharing will be natural and organic because it will come from your direct experience.
Therefore, this teaching training will provide you with the necessary tools to get to know yourself on a deeper level, a learning process that will help you to recalibrate the inner energy in a sensitive and attentive way, based on the yoga principle called Sthiram Sukham: to be as relaxed and stabilised as possible, within the path of self-awareness.
Through sensitivity (i.e. Ahimsa), we can find a deeper physical, mental and spiritual stability: body and mind are integrated with each other. When we organise the body in relation to gravity, a process of purification is initiated, deep tensions are released and space is created to allow the free flow of breath and energy. This facilitates the elimination of toxins and brings benefits to our entire system: nervous, respiratory, digestive, circulatory, endocrine, immune and reproductive.
A learning process in which you will be led to experience the practice of yoga in the attention to sensations and how to organise the body in relation to gravity. Being aware and sensitive to your actions and their impact will be the basis to guide you on the path of self-knowledge.
In this training you will acquire the necessary tools to start guiding your students to follow the path of self-inquiry, helping each person to work from their individual strengths and limitations and to be able to offer each person the necessary tools so that - on their own - they can start their way back to balance. Ethical and biomechanical principles will be also be studied, fundamental for personal practice and teaching.
100-hour Hatha yoga immersion
For whom is this training:
Yoga students and teachers, people involved in somatic education and movement, therapists, educators and health professionals and anyone who wants to immerse themselves in the path of self-knowledge. It is a useful experience whether your goal is to: deepen your personal practice, become a yoga teacher or learn a somatic approach when you already teach yoga classes.
Requirements for enrolment:
A regular practice, and if possible, joining somatic classes during the course period.
Program & structure of the training weekends:
Each day, we will begin the day with an exploration of Kriyas, Pranayama and Asana practice. The second part of the sessions will be a combination of Asana presentations, somatic practices and philosophy studies.
Liliana will guide you on a path of self-inquiry, based on the fundamentals of Hatha Yoga and the OSSEUS method which she developed as a form of somatic re-education over her years as a dancer and three decades of study in the practices of Viniyoga, Ashtanga Yoga, Dynamic Yoga and Iyengar Yoga.
Her approach to yoga is based on accessing a state of equanimity. In this training we will study how to integrate the principles of Patanjali's Ashtanga Yoga to gradually develop a state of equanimity that will bring calm, confidence and joy into your practice and daily life. If we approach yoga with sensitivity, it will open our hearts and, with simplicity, show us a path of growth in our own life. It will allow us to see the way we currently live and how we can grow towards a fuller and happier life.
