10-Day Challenge

10-day challenge

Join the Annual 10-Day Yoga Moves Challenge! The challenge requires you to set an intention for yourself and commit to taking a yoga class at Yoga Moves for 10 consecutive days. A 10-day yoga challenge represents a personal commitment you make to yourself and it offers you a structure for creating time each day to nurture yourself.

In addition to allowing you to create your own practice schedule, this yoga challenge gives you the opportunity to revisit your favorite classes and choose a teacher who inspires you at Yoga Moves.

Define your intention

Make an intention for yourself. Clear intentions makes us more likely to achieve our goals. Setting an intention is a powerful technique for manifesting the emotions we desire to experience in our current reality. It transforms our aspirations from distant possibilities into palpable sensations within our bodies. This familiarity with our desired emotions allows our subconscious mind to accept them as true rather than imaginary.

For instance, if your goal is to hold a shoulder stand for a minute, you can set an intention of feeling calm, balanced, and strong. By establishing this intention at the start of your practice, you can cultivate these feelings in the present moment. As a result, you become more confident and at ease while attempting the challenging pose, knowing that you can embody these feelings throughout your practice.

Would you challenge yourself physically? You could try a Hot Challenge: 10 days of Hot yoga classes in a row. It’s designed to help you build strength, flexibility, and endurance by practicing yoga in a heated room. If you’re looking to slow down and relax these days, you could focus on Yin-, Restorative- and/or Nidra classes that helps release tension and promote deep relaxation. You are free to try of these options, to combine both, or maybe do something completely different. It’s up to you to choose what suits your needs and preferences.

No matter which challenge you choose, we encourage you to join and discover how truly transformational yoga can be when you practice with commitment. By committing to a daily yoga practice, you'll have the opportunity to meet your resistance and learn to grow around it.

Stampcard

To post up your challenge, we’ve made a special stampcard. From 25 May you could pick up your stampcard in one of our four studios. (Sorry, in our newsletter we’ve said 15th of April, that was a mistake!) Every day you’re following a yoga class, you will receive a stamp. Don’t forget to ask the stamp at the desk after your class.

Goal

We promise you that you will feel different, in a good way, after practicing yoga for 10 days in a row. Is your stampcard full, then you’ll receive a present in your mailbox.

At the end of the challenge, you'll have the opportunity to participate in the Yoga Moves Summer Solstice & International Yoga day: 108 salutations to the sun! This practice is a great way to celebrate the summer solstice and all the progress you've made during the challenge.

Of course: Doing yoga for 10 days in a row, that’s a huge goal in itself. Again, you could do it in your way. But, this challenge will end the 21st of June, the Yoga Moves Summer Solstice will be at the 21st of June. So feel free to do the last day of your challenge at the Yoga Moves Summer Solstice event.
