Mitchell Sandler

Mitchell is a classical singer, but has always done something physical ‘on the side’. From the age of 14 it was Aikido, but in his 40’s he switched tracks to a combination of Taijiquan and (Iyengar) yoga. For the past 15 summers he’s also been teaching music in Czechia at the La Pellegrina music courses, where he started incorporating Qigong into the morning activities. This was so much fun, he decided to do a formal Taijiquan teacher training, and get certified. (2016, with Howard Choy in Berlin.)

Mitchell believes in making the lesson fun, or even funny, where possible. “I got into Qigong and Taiji for more energy, but it turns out to be a relaxed energy – an even stream, rather than a fizzle.”
