Jamie Elmer’s (E-RYT 500) life-long study of movement and the human body has taken her from a national dance company, to Pilates, to yoga. Through ten years as a full-time yoga teacher, Jamie has grown her craft and developed a special style of teaching that focuses on safety, strength, and healing. After teaching six years full-time at Exhale: Center for Sacred Movement in Venice, CA, Jamie now travels internationally teaching workshops and Yoga Alliance Teacher Trainings.
She is known for development of the nationally renowned Applied Anatomy for Yoga which she has led within both Max Strom and Annie Carpenter’s trainings, and her signature workshop series; How to Teach Beginners. Jamie holds a BA from California Institute of the Arts, a Pilates Teacher Certification from Long Beach Dance Conditioning, a Yoga Teacher Certification with Max Strom, certification as a Walk Well Practitioner from Brourman Gait Therapy, and most recently a certification from Duke University in Therapeutic Yoga for Seniors.
