Stabilise Body and Mind
Pranayama (breathing technique) can be a very powerful practice if you are willing to invest some time in it. It can establish the basis from which you can grow and develop mentally and physically towards a deeper form of maturity. In this workshop Pranayama practice is combined with Yoga Asana (postures). Together they form the highest form of cleansing and discipline for body and mind.
The regular practice of simple breathing techniques cleanses and stabilises body and mind. The breath flowing freely provides access to your inner world, and can lead to a deeper state of meditation. Your body then feeds on vital energy: the digestive system and lungs are stimulated and cleansed, the mind becomes clear and calm, nervous system strengthened. You will feel vital, awake and content as your body’s energy system is balanced.
This practical workshop offers a safe introduction to Pranayama. In this workshop Pranayama practice is combined with Yoga Asana (postures). Together they form the highest form of cleansing and discipline for body and mind. All levels are welcome.

Over the years, Marilou van Hoek has developed a great passion for Ashtanga Yoga and Pranayama Practice, which she both integrates in her daily life and teachings. She teaches Mysore Style, Primary Series, Ashtanga Led and Pranayama Classes, as well as Workshops at Yoga Moves and other Yoga Studios in Holland. She always teaches with a lot of love! Her classes are warm hearted, contagiously fun and rewarding, allowing to deepen and explore your practice on and off the mat.
Marilou describes herself as a lifetime yoga student. She is dedicated to her daily Practice and regularly studies with her Teacher(s)- developing her interests in Yoga Philosophy, Sanskrit Chanting and Meditation. Marilou was born and raised in the Philippines and grew up in Holland from her early teens. She believes she has the best of both worlds, the East and West! For her, Yoga is a journey to awareness and spirituality. Yoga has not only given her the balance, stability and deep sense of Joy, Yoga has become ‘the Heart of her being’ and gives her confidence and fun in everything she does. With this experience she radiantly loves to inspire others.
