Ganesha, Shiva, Lakshmi, Saraswati, Vishnu!
Curious about who’s who in the grand pantheon of Hindu Mythology?
Hinduism is the oldest belief system in the world and it serves as the cultural foundation of the yoga we love and practice.
Join Coral Brown to explore this cast of characters and how their stories influence your down dogs!
This immersion will use the art of story telling to explore the archetypes that inspire and inform our culture, history and personal lives. In mythology, the moral of the story richly conveys the lessons to be learned. We will explore our own stories as well as Hindu myths such as how Ganesha got his elephant head, why is split pose named after Hanuman and why Shiva has a blue throat. Scratching the surface of the vast Hindu belief system will help us examine how the historical roots of yoga are directly connected to us – the modern day yogis!
Yoga Practice is included around mythological themes.
