Ashtanga Yoga | Self Practice

The essence of Ashtanga yoga is experienced best by the Mysore style approach. That is, consistent individual practice supported in a group setting. Each practice unfolds through gaze, movement and breath, with the help of an experienced teacher to assist you further through verbal cues, hands-on adjustments and silent support. All levels of practitioner are welcome. Beginners must commit to the full week.

About the teacher

Sonja Radvila

Originally from Colorado, Sonja Radvila has been a daily practitioner of Ashtanga yoga for over fifteen years and teaching since 2008. She is authorized to share this method as a Level 2 instructor by the KPJAYI, in Mysore, India and teaches internationally. She returns regularly to learn from the source of this practice and is grateful to share what she has learned from all her teachers, her own ups and downs with practice, and the many students who have shown her the way.
Sonja is also trained in Indian classical dance, founder and maker of Rasa Malas jewelry, and author of Young Yogi and the Mind Monsters, a version of Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras through the eyes of a child, which will be published in 2019.
