Intro to Core Flow Yoga

Core Flow Yoga with Marlene offers a unique vinyasa approach. Get a totally different perspective on your practice as you move your body through a dynamic, new and interesting Vinyasa Core Practice.

You will learn the core principles, core alignment, core waves and the specific core transitions, as well as to building strength and endurance in the body’s core muscles. You will practice with more alignment as you stretch and strengthen all the major muscles groups, making all postures easier. You will discover and learn how to use your Deep Core Line, and a very important core muscle, the pelvic floor and the psoas muscle to feel and connect with your center and increase stability as an efficient total body/mind transformation and will enjoy as you learn the golden flame breathing.

You will practice all you have learned.  Enjoy a conscious journey and be ready to move and sweat through a dance of core movements, as you wave with your core on the breath. This workshop is for beginners as well as more intermediate students.  It is also interesting for those wanting to gain more insight in the practice of core alignment yoga through a vinyasa based practice.  Marlene have developed the Core Flow Practice based on her own core principles and Core Strength Vinyasa (CSV) studies.

About the teacher

Marlene Henny

Marlene Henny is one of Hollands leading Vinyasa Yoga Teachers. She is a certified and experienced yoga teacher (E-RYT 500) and Core Strength Vinyasa Yoga Teacher.

She leads inspirational yoga classes in the Netherlands and abroad and developed the Art of Sequence Module and the Core Flow Module. Since 2010 she teaches her own approach she calls Core Flow, and was certified to teach Core Strength Vinyasa Yoga by Sadie’s Nardini in 2011. She teaches with a clear eye on body alignment and gives precise guidance on how to work intelligently, but also incorporates the influence of her dance training where she lets students move the body through its entire range of motion on the wave of breath.

Marlene is known for her skills in sequencing and she allows everybody to join the ride. She is a dynamic yoga teacher and her approach is genuine, dynamic, creative, fun and from the heart. Marlene has been teaching at Yoga Moves since its start – in 2003 and is a leading trainer at the Yoga Moves Teacher Training.
