About the teachers

Dana Marshall

Dana Marshall teaches mindfulness and yin yoga. She is known for her heartfelt way of teaching and she applies it to daily life. She creates an atmosphere of warmth and kindness in her classes which encourages students to relax into their bodies and minds.The purpose of mindfulness is to train the mind to be open and attentive to all that arises. The purpose of yin yoga is to engender pliancy in the joints which creates more fluidity in movement and more ease and comfort in stillness. Dana first came in contact with meditation at sixteen years old through personal contact with Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche the founder of Shambhala. Since then she has been on the Shambhala Buddhist Path of the Warrior.

She completed the 200 hour Vinyasa yoga teacher’s training at Yoga Moves in 2003. In 2010 she completed the 60 hour Insight Yoga teacher’s training with Sarah Powers. Since 2004 she has taught at Yoga Moves and in 2011 she joined the teacher’s training faculty. Dana is a visual artist and has been weaving together like strands of DNA the path of warriorship with the path of art for thirty years. To learn more visit; and

Daniela Gfeller

Daniela is a certified Iyengar yoga teacher who enjoys helping other students by sharing her knowledge. Daniela believes in creating a firm foundation of yoga practice and then gradually building up to go into deeper levels. Her teaching style is challenging but clear and precise. She helps students develop their bodies and their relationships with their bodies and takes great joy in seeing them develop over time.

Daniela is a devoted student of yoga since 2001. She likes the active form of Iyengar yoga practice, the precision that comes with it and its physical and mental benefits. As a web and graphic designer she spends a lot of time behind a computer and she finds yoga helps balancing body and energizes her spine.

Marlene Henny

Marlene Henny is one of Hollands leading Vinyasa Yoga Teachers. She is a certified and experienced yoga teacher (E-RYT 500) and Core Strength Vinyasa Yoga Teacher.

She leads inspirational yoga classes in the Netherlands and abroad and developed the Art of Sequence Module and the Core Flow Module. Since 2010 she teaches her own approach she calls Core Flow, and was certified to teach Core Strength Vinyasa Yoga by Sadie’s Nardini in 2011. She teaches with a clear eye on body alignment and gives precise guidance on how to work intelligently, but also incorporates the influence of her dance training where she lets students move the body through its entire range of motion on the wave of breath.

Marlene is known for her skills in sequencing and she allows everybody to join the ride. She is a dynamic yoga teacher and her approach is genuine, dynamic, creative, fun and from the heart. Marlene has been teaching at Yoga Moves since its start – in 2003 and is a leading trainer at the Yoga Moves Teacher Training.
