Help your students go deeper and further in a safe way.
Traditionally the primary method of teaching Ashtanga Yoga is through Hands-on Adjustments with the aim to help the student go into the posture deeper and further in a safe way. It has been taught from teacher to student with an individualised approach and primarily through the teacher’s hands. This Hands-on Adjustment approach is what really transmits the understanding of this practice.
This workshop will focus on how to give Adjustments for the Primary Series of Ashtanga Yoga. We will learn to work both theoretically and practically by adjusting each other applying what we have learned during these 3 days. There will be time to assist each posture, lots of time for repetition, feedback and discussion. It is a safe place to learn the art of Adjusting.
The course is suitable for Teachers and/or Teachers in Training with a regular practice of Ashtanga Yoga who would like to deepen their experience and knowledge. Proficiency in the Primary Series is needed to join the course. If you are unsure about your level, please ask Marilou before or after class or email us with provide details of your practice to firstname.lastname@example.org.
