We offer our original long format Vinyasa Teacher Training (200 hours) on long weekends for approx 8 months starting in January each year.

What will you learn?
In this training you will build your awareness on how to see and respond to people, their bodies, and their potential. Our team will teach you sound strategies for bringing the most out of your students and how to deepen your own practice and understanding. We aim to give you a deep understanding of working from the foundation up. You will learn to intelligently build and teach creative yoga classes that are fun, beautiful and inspirational. You will have your students ready to come back for more! Our intention is to offer you an understanding of the principles and practices that will serve your development in the years to come.

David Meijer started training with his zen-buddhist sensei over twenty years ago. After five intensive years he went on to professionally working with his passions for Yoga, Zen and Martial Arts. Deepening his understanding of anatomy, David spent four years at the Hogeschool van Amsterdam to become a Mensendieck (Posture) Therapist. Yoga, movement and health have been his full time occupation since 2004. In his classes, David uses Eastern training principles in which self discipline and silence, extraordinary sensitivity and strength go hand in hand. In an anatomy class David uses a form of inquiry based on asking and answering questions to stimulate critical thinking. With his playful and pragmatic approach you’ll acquire insight in the way yoga asanas work on the body. Hilary Anne Brown is the founder of Yoga Moves, which she opened in Utrecht in the summer of 2001. A native Californian, Hilary has studied and practiced many forms of yoga, healing arts, massage & bodywork and dance since the early 1980s. She has yoga teaching certificates in Iyengar, Vinyasa yoga, Ashtanga Vinyasa, Vinyasa (Prana) Flow, and is recognized as an experienced Registered Yoga Teacher (E-RYT500) since 2006. She has studied with numerous known and unknown yogis to whom she is ever grateful.
Hilary teaches a lyrical form of vinyasa yoga, a fluid but precise, dynamic yet relaxed method that incorporates the breath as a focus of moving meditation. She teaches with sensitivity and strength, letting you discover what yoga can bring to your life in a real and tangible ways. Breath is always a theme in her work, but equally understanding and feeling what you are doing. Alignment is a key ingredient and joy a natural outcome of her teaching. Sometimes you will laugh, cry or dance in her classes! Hilary is a committed yogi that helps her students take a step closer to themselves.

Jasmijn, trained as a social- and organizational psychologist, discovered yoga in her mid-twenties and immediately loved it. A few years into her practice, she completed the Teacher Training at Yoga Moves and has been teaching ever since. She currently teaches vinyasa flow, yin yoga and the slow flow style that one of her teachers, Hilary Brown, developed. Jasmijn’s style is further inspired by teacher Max Strom – and his breath-focused approach to yoga. She regularly participates in workshops by different teachers to deepen her understanding of her own practice and the art of teaching.
Jasmijn strives to flavor her classes with kindness by emphasizing individual adjustments and offering different levels for different bodies. They are breath-oriented, intense, yet grounding at the same time. An active meditation student herself, she integrates a meditative style of teaching into her classes where there is more stillness in between -and in- postures, to allow more body awareness.

Originally trained as a hatha yoga teacher, Liese has firm roots in asana, pranayama, philosophy and a yogic lifestyle. Over the years she continued her journey by deepening her knowledge about yoga for women with Françoise Freedman of Birthlight. At Yoga Moves she offers Birthlight yogaclasses for women during the pre- and postnatal period including partner workshops and baby yoga classes.
As well as teaching yoga, Liese teaches ayurveda and works as an ayurvedic practitioner. In her trainings for yoga teachers, she combines classic ayurvedic principles with knowledge from yoga and shows how to implement these in a modern lifestyle.
Liese’s motto is ‘Ancient wisdom made practical for you’. She has many tools to help you practically apply the ancient wisdom of yoga & ayurveda in everyday living.

Sumati Nair’s travels on the path of yoga and philosophy began in her 20s in India. Aided by her teacher training in Iyengar yoga in Amsterdam, she has developed her special focus on philosophical insights and wisdom from different schools of thought within Indian philosophy in particular. She has been teaching both asana classes and philosophy for the past 15 years. What she enjoys most is inspiring students to look at “ reality” from the different perspectives, offered to us by the great masters, stimulating them to embark on their own search.
